Content

What is content brief?

A content brief is a short document that defines a piece’s purpose, target intent, scope, and success metric before anyone starts writing.

What it means

A good brief covers the target query, the reader’s question, the subtopics to include, the pages to link to, and the outcome the content should drive.

How to use it

Spell out in the brief which decision the content supports. It prevents scope creep during writing and defines up front what you’ll check during the measurement window.
